Traffic Marketing Plans

30 September, 2008

I have been spending considerable time today and yesterday talking with clients about their traffic marketing plans.  Not matter what strategy you are doing it’s important that you have a traffic marketing plan.

Firstly to define for you what a traffic marketing plan is, a traffic marketing plan is a plan that you can apply to your website to generate inbound potential customers.  Now, you may want those customers to click on a link, buy a product or join an email marketing list.

Now with traffic marketing there are two major things that you need to consider:

1.    Paid Traffic

2.    Free Traffic

These are the two major forms of generating traffic to your website and in any website business or income generating strategy we should be using both strategies.  I have created a quick video and image on what I would set up and recommend as a paid traffic plan:

The second major form of generating traffic to your website is through Free Traffic Generation.  Now before exploring this concept what you need to understand is that nothing in life is free, there is always a price to pay, and with Free Traffic Generation the normal price that you are paying is time.

So, when doing FREE Traffic Generation strategies I like to ensure that they are LEVERAGED.  To see what I would recommend click on the links below:

So now that you have these outlines what should you do next?  Just click on the video below to see what I recommend as your next steps:

Social Networking Syndication

29 September, 2008

I have talked on previous teleclasses about social networking content syndication. As you may know I always say content is king and the only thing better than content is SYNDICATED content.  Anyway we have been talking about syndicating content across multiple social networking sites, in fact 200 hundred sites.

In doing this particular strategy it requires significant set up time, going across all 200 networks creating usernames and passwords and incorporating the RSS feed. (If you don’t totally understand the terminology used here ask me during our up coming coaching call)

So as I always say, we are wanting to work out ways that we can leverage ourselves out of doing the actual work and with this said Craig from the coaching program has posted a job on elance about having someone set up the usernames and passwords and also publishing the RSS feed.

Craig the awesome negotiator has been able to get this done for a total cost of $25 per person (yes this includes all 200 sites).  If you are interested in this strategy head on over to the forum link below and register your interest, because on thursday we want to start implementing this strategy

Keyword Density

On the weekend at our coaching day in Sydney I was talking about Search Engine Optimisation (as I always do).  Anyone who has heard me talk about SEO before would know that there are two key factors to being successful at SEO, on-page optimisation and off-page optimisation.

On the weekend I was talking about on-page optimisation and how the amount of times your keywords are repeated on your page is one of the factors that the search engines are looking for when deciding where to rank your site.  What I suggest is that you should be looking to have your keyword repeated about 5 times for every 100 words.  Now in internet marketing circles we call this a keyword density of 5%.

Instead of having to sit there and manually count how many times your keyword is repeated there is a tool designed to allow you to measure your keyword density.  I have done a quick video on how to use that tool, so just watch that video below and click on the link below that to visit the keyword density tool

Important Note For Traffic Trading

On friday during the catch up day in Sydney we were able to work ways around the yahoo issue for people to be able to complete a trade.

The major change is that all clients using the trading program have been requested to set up an account with www.omguk.com. This is a re-seller of yahoo publisher and allows us access to the publisher network.

Also this has meant we needed to make changes to landing pages for this strategy, I would like to have all students that are trading across this during the week in preparation for Sunday’s training.

I’ll be discussing this with you during your consult this week

This Weekend

19 September, 2008

Hi guys,

I just wanted to let you know that Shaun has been working hard to get everyone up to speed over the last two weeks and in the process has been working long days and nights.  Combined with the fact that he has been so unwell lately he has become quite tired and has taken this weekend off to rest and recover, so he is ready to go again next week :)

If you had an appointment booked with Shaun over the weekend Brenda or Anne will be in touch with you to reschedule it.

Thanks

Steph

The Ultimate Internet Business Model

I have been asked a lot over the last month or so about how we personally structure all of our internet businesses.  While this may be totally irrelevant to the people who are doing affiliate marketing models, I think it’s great to understand ultimately how we want our business to be structured.

As you would know I am a strong proponent of relationship and database marketing using email as our communication tool, with that said, understand that for me the perfect business model is to build databases to sell products.

So for me the perfect business model has 3 different sections:

Section 1 - Lead Generation Sites
These are the sites that I build to generate leads into my database.  It may be sites to generate subscribers to newsletters, it may be sites to give away e-books, it may be sites to send out free DVD’s, ultimately what we are giving is not so much relevant, it’s what we are getting from our visitors that matters.  So these websites are designed to get at minimum, first name, last name and email address of all of our potential customers.

Section 2 - Email Marketing Site
We normally have 1 site that we do all of our email marketing from, that way we only ever have to create one newsletter and send it to all of our database.  This site is normally the site that we are trying to build a strong customer and brand loyalty to.  I refer to this site as the hub of our business as not only are we doing all of our email marketing out of this site but it’s also normally the site we have all of our software installed on and where we process all of our orders.

Section 3 - Sales Sites
We can have multiple sites here, as these sites are designed to do one thing and one thing only… sell.  Each site is designed to sell only one product as we find that we get best conversion results from sites that target just selling one thing.

If you think of this three tier process as a real estate agency, the email marketing site is the physical shop front that the real estate agent has and the sales sites and lead generation sites are the real estate agents out walking the beat.  Without each connecting piece of the puzzle it won’t work

Good News Week

17 September, 2008

I just wanted to share this with you from Alan:

Well, we are finally in!

Thanks to Shaun’s knowledge and power of persuasion,we have the Yahoo Publisher issue solved.

I’m excited!!

I’ve been working on Landing Pages for the trading of words for a while, and each time I hit an obstacle, I’d leave it until I spoke to Shaun.

But in the meantime I’d go back and search more words and create more Landing pages. Even when I was creating Landing Pages, they were not complete. I did as much as I could as far as my knowledge was concerned. Then when Shaun gave me some more info, I’d go back to each of the pages and add that info.

The final hurdle was Yahoo Publisher.

Now we have that, I’m ready to Go! (well, I’ve be ready to go emotionally for weeks, it’s just now I’m ready to go physically as well)

I Am Coming To Sydney…Clear Your Diaries

16 September, 2008

I have been talking with Anne today regarding a “catch up day” in Sydney. So it is confirmed that I will be in Sydney this Friday from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

This is not a structured coaching day, but allocated time for you to bring your computers along and work along side me and my other coaching clients.

If you are stuck on something, wanting to complete a trade of just fast track your success this is a must attend date on the calendar. It is very rare that I am able to make a full day available.

There is no cost for you to attend, I will be hiring a boardroom for the day in the CBD of Sydney for us to work out of you, so just bring your computer and a positive attitude.

If you would like to come please send an email to Anne@InternetMarketingCoaching.com.au stating that you would love to attend and we will give you more details as we confirm.

Your First Trade

15 September, 2008

For everyone who is in the trading program it was great to see the work that you all completed to get to the point of completing the trade.  I also understand that on occasions that it has been quite frustrating not getting accepted into the programs required immediately.

The major problem has been with yahoo publisher, this is a fairly key part to doing the trades so I have been working on an alternative method for you.  If you can just have a few more days patience with me as I test out a few different alternatives, as soon as we know the answer i will write another blog post.
